The Goose Chase Cake Design is a full service cake design and dessert company. We specialize in custom designed wedding and special occasion cakes. We also build delectable dessert tables if cake is not your style.
With well tested recipes, each cake is made entirely from scratch using fresh, and local ingredients. The simple ingredients of butter, sugar, flour, eggs, and cream turn into the most glorious cake layers and fillings. With well balanced layers of flavors, and a cloud like swiss meringue buttercream. We create cakes that are not too sweet and are a perfect end to a magical event.
Located in the Mad River Valley, Vermont, we have the opportunity to work with all of the amazing caterers and event spaces located in this valley and beyond.
Our pastry chef Sarah Auger graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in 2009. Over the last ten years she has worked as a pastry chef for farm to table restaurants, high end catering companies and top bakeries in Vermont, San Francisco and New York City. As she was building her repertoire working with various forms of pastry, Sarah was all the while continuing to build her skills creating and designing wedding and special occasion cakes. After traveling for portions of her career, Sarah has landed back in the Mad River Valley where she grew up, finding inspiration in the beautiful surroundings here.
